Alice Hoskins (‘25) raced the UCI Mountain Bike World Championship XCO race on August 30. She was one of three riders selected by USA Cycling to compete for the United States in the most prestigious race in the world. Alice finished 13th place in a field of 57 of the world’s best junior women. She was the second best placed American.

Earlier this summer, Alice finished second place at USA Cycling National Championships. She has been a consistent podium finisher in UCI mountain bike races this spring and summer.

Alice is from Charlottesville, Virginia, and is an integral part of MSA's internationally acclaimed cycling team. Her journey into mountain biking started at youth mountain bike camps held at Miller School during the summer. From there, she progressed to compete in the VAHS MTB Series, Virginia’s interscholastic mountain bike race series, while still in elementary school. Over the years, Alice has competed in an array of cycling disciplines, ranging from downhill mountain biking and cyclocross to enduro mountain biking and cross-country.
